Buying Reishi Powder.

There are plenty of Reishi products available, however it is more difficult to guarantee the quality of the products, especially if you are buying off the internet. Some of the Reishi powders contain bulking agents which means the powder has less strength and is not as effective as it should be. I have come across one seller however on e-bay who sells his Reishi powder with an analysis certificate, unlike many other sellers. this sellers details are listed below.

You are so right to warn people.

Reishi is probably one of the most compromised mushroom supplements one can buy, some supplements contain even up to 75% of fillers (!) Most of these fillers are btw polysaccharides such as starch or dextrin, so you can’t trust polysaccharide % !!

See this interesting article for more background and technical details https://oriveda.wordpress.com/reishi-the-quest-for-quality-report/
and that same blog has a great guideline for those considering buying mushroom based supplements.

The blog is from a company but one of the few that offer in-depth specifications of thier Reishi, such as 30+ % polysaccharides, 27% beta-glucan and 6% triterpene
